If you think being a “Free Range” kid was good in the ’80’s, you shoulda been around in the ’50’s and ’60’s.
There were no bicycle helmets or car seatbelts. You were packed off to school with a rifle on your back and Twinkies in your lunchbox. And, of course, the only padding under the school steel playground equipment was asphalt.
