Regarding George Will’s Exit – (2)
Mr. Will. Just in case you missed the sentiments expressed in original Regarding George Will’s Exit post, here’s what that prissiest minion of bow ties, Mr. Rogers, thinks about your departure from the Republican Party.
GOPe – The Search For Common Sense
Investigators are going to extreme depths to find a shred of Common Sense in the Romney, Kristol, Ryan wing of the GOPe.
Romney’s Roost – Tagging and Bagging Trump
You just have to respect the tenacity and mendaciousness of the GOPe in their quest for self-immolation. From The Washington Post we find, “At Romney summit, anti-Trump Republicans in exile ponder their party’s future“.
PARK CITY, Utah — At this time four years ago, Mitt Romney summoned the leading figures in the Republican Party to this mountain resort at the start of his general-election campaign. He was then the standard-bearer of a party united and seemingly confident about its future.
Today, the GOP is divided and anxious, and as many of these same people gather with Romney once again, they now represent a party in exile, retreating to the political wilderness of Deer Valley and powerless in what has become the party of Donald Trump.
Outcome of Trump v. Judge Kerfuffle
In the final analysis this will be the outcome of the Trump v. U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel kerfuffle.
BTW–It’s not Judge Kerfuffle, it’s Judge kerfuffle. Just sayin’. I should use the excuse that english isn’t my first language, stupid is.
Trump Reaches Magic 1237
Do you hear cheering from The National Review, the Bush’s, or the GOPe, yet? Or from the Mittens Romney compound? Here’s the headline from the AP, “Trump reaches the magic number to clinch nomination“.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for president Thursday, completing an unlikely rise that has upended the political landscape and set the stage for a bitter fall campaign.
Trump was put over the top in the Associated Press delegate count by a small number of the party’s unbound delegates who told the AP they would support him at the national convention in July. Among them is Oklahoma GOP chairwoman Pam Pollard.
GOPe Testing Support for Third Party Candidacy
The Washington Post is breathlessly reporting that “Inside the GOP effort(s are being made) to draft an independent candidate to derail Trump“.
A band of exasperated Republicans — including 2012 presidential nominee Mitt Romney, a handful of veteran consultants and members of the conservative intelligentsia — is actively plotting to draft an independent presidential candidate who could keep Donald Trump from the White House.
These GOP figures are commissioning private polling, lining up major funding sources and courting potential contenders, according to interviews with more than a dozen Republicans involved in the discussions. The effort has been sporadic all spring but has intensified significantly in the 10 days since Trump effectively locked up the Republican nomination.

Of people like Obama, or Reid, or anybody else. How often do you hear someone like Pelosi get up on the house floor in order to pitch for the latest big government push and the phrase “…… that democrats and republicans have supported…….” comes out of their mouth?(or a phrase just like it)
