Vincente Fox – Statesman at Large

Read Politico’s article, “Vicente Fox: Trump turning U.S. back to days of ‘gringo feo’“, and you would think the Mexican-American War had begun anew.

vincente_fox_pinata“Absolutely, yes. And we suffered from that all along the 20th century,” Fox said, mentioning the likes of former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, as well as the Perons and the Kirchners of Argentina. “And I’m surprised this nation is going back to the old days of the gringo feo, of the ugly American but also going back to populism.”

But consider.  This so-called “Statesman”, Vincente Fox, calls a US Presidential candidate ‘brainless’, then smashes that candidate’s pinata effigy, and Politico has the chutzpah to quote him about his opinions of “Ugly Americans”?? Now if the shoe was on the other foot and the “Ugly American” candidate was Hillary Clinton, perhaps the story would have been different.

Oh, wait a minute. Hillary left that shoe in a ditch back at the World Trade Center Memorial Service. My bad self.

Obama’s Back From Vacation – Do You ‘Effing Care?

Here’s the tepid little headline from the AP, “Obama eyes busy fall after return from summer vacation“.

President Barack Obama returned from vacation Sunday, ready for a busy fall season Not_Bush_Dont_Careand more battles with Congress….

A theoretically rested president returned to the White House after a 16-day getaway to Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, with his wife, Michelle, daughters Malia and Sasha, and their dogs. He played 10 rounds of golf and went out to dinner eight times.

Now while Barack Obama was golfing and enjoying several fine dining experiences, the Los Angeles Times reports, “In a flooded Louisiana neighborhood, residents ride home through alligator-infested waters“.

More than a week after a storm flooded much of central Louisiana, killing 13, more than 86,000 have applied for assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. About 4,000 were still in shelters.Obama_Flood_Golf

Residents returning to their homes — or those who never left, choosing to ride out the storm — were struggling to survive. Leblanc and about two dozen others in what Cajuns call “Pont Breaux,” about 50 miles west of Baton Rouge, must still be ferried home through rank, alligator-infested floodwaters by tractors, off-road vehicles and boats.

Compare that to this story from the U.S. News and World Report, “The Undoing of George W. Bush–Hurricane Katrina badly damaged the former president’s reputation. And it still hasn’t recovered“.  Hurricane Katrina made landfall on August 29.  Bush cut his vacation short and overflew the area on August 31.  The rest is history, as they say.

On the way back, he had Air Force One fly over part of the devastated area and he glimpsed the wreckage from the plane. White House officials allowed news photographers to take photos of a grim-faced Bush looking out an Air Force One window but the PR gambit backfired. Many Americans saw the photo, which was widely disseminated, as evidence that Bush was too distant from the misery below. In a 2010 interview with NBC, Bush conceded that allowing the photo to be taken was a “huge mistake” because it made him seem “detached and uncaring.”

Terrorist Dad For Hillary

Another story from Breitbart that proves the adage, you can’t make this shit up!  It goes as so, “Orlando Terrorist’s Father Cheers at Hillary Clinton Rally; Calls For Gun Control“.

Seddique Mateen, the father of the Orlando nightclub shooter, attended a Hillary_Orlando_ISIS_DadHillary Clinton rally in Kissimmee, Florida, placing himself prominently behind the presidential candidate as she spoke to supporters.

Mateen was visible in the backdrop of Clinton’s speech as she paid tribute to the police officers and victims of the shooting.

TwilightZone_Imagine_If_You_WillImagine, if you will, a KKK Grand Poobah named David Duke endorsing Donald Trump….

How would the The Atlantic handle it?  “How Donald Trump Opened the Way For David Duke’s Return“?

“Between Donald Trump parroting some of his campaign themes and the racial turmoil in Baton Rouge, he must have … said, ‘It’s Duke time!’”

Or the Washington Post?  “Donald Trump and David Duke: For the record“.

Unlike most other top Republican officials, Trump generally does not couple his statements about Duke with a firm condemnation of Duke’s views. Instead, his answers are often reactive, such as “I would do that [repudiate Duke], if it made you feel better.”

Or Politico? “David Duke defends Trump, blames Jews for judge criticism“.

Former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke defended Donald Trump on his radio show earlier this week from criticism of his comments about Judge Gonzalo Curiel, blaming “the Jews” in the media for propagating a long-running negative agenda against the presumptive Republican nominee.

Personally, I think snowballs will be thriving in Hell before the Main Stream Media starts asking Hillary Clinton why an ISIS loving, mass murdering, Radical Islamic Terrorist’s father is sitting behind her cheering her on in a political rally?
